JOWE Holzwaren - perfect service for wholesalers as well as industrial and private customers
We offer unbeatable service throughout the industry. Our goal is perfect results and the satisfaction of our customers is always our highest priority. This is something we are proud of.
We introduce ourselves
JOWE stands for JOsef WEllinger. Since 1964 we are one of the market leaders in the field of wooden dowels and other products.
Our flagship products are high-quality and innovative wooden products
Wooden dowels, corrugated rods and branch dowels are among the first products of our production.
Over the years, however, the requirements of our customers have increased, and as a result, we have continuously developed and invested.
Orders of complex products, can be accepted mainly by numerous extensions.
We have also specialized in joining, repairing and decorating of wooden of wooden elements
Industrial enterprises as well as trade, wholesale, furniture and window construction in over 30 countries have been our customers for almost 60 years.
Accordingly, there are special requirements for our different customers, which we have to meet on a daily basis.
In order to guarantee a fast delivery, a new warehouse for about 400 pallet places was built in 2015.
2020 - 2023 Investments + new warehouse
Further investments were made such as the installation of a 70KWp PV system with storage, new machines (CNC, automatic moulder, crosscut saw, etc.). An additional warehouse in the neighboring community of Hohenzell was rented
2017-2020 Online Shop + Distribution
The online shope for private customers: www.holzundhandwerk.at was launched. Receipt of the Young Entrepreneur Award 2018 - 2nd place in the category "Platzhirsch" Furthermore, the expansion of the distribution network in more than 40 countries took place.
New on board is Yulia Shumkova (wife of Florian Jungwirth) who manages all agendas in the private customer area.
2015 - 2017 Acquisition 3rd generation
Owner Monika Jungwirth hands over the company to son Florian Jungwirth. Already in the first year a new warehouse was built and the complete production was renovated. The company Kaiser (connecting plates) was taken over. In 2015 we also started with the project "private customers" in the areas of climbing frames, gift articles and handicraft supplies.
2006 - 2015 Extensions
Helmut Jungwirth left the company due to illness. Son Florian Jungwirth took over his agendas. A large number of new products such as branch dowels, resin galls patches, cross wood discs,... were added to the range, in order to be able to offer our customers a complete assortment.
1991 - 2006 Acquisition 1991
Monika (daughter) and Helmut Jungwirth took over the company and continued it under the name JOWE. Numerous investments such as a further chip silo, drying kiln, dry wood storage as well as a 2000m² fresh wood storage facility were built. In addition, the production of round bars and laths was added.
1964 - 1985 Extensions
In the years 1964 - 1985 investments were made in the production of corrugated dowels. Besides chip silo, heating, also the first drying chamber was invested in

1962 - Company foundation
JOsef WEllinger founded a joinery in Stocket (St. Marienkirchen) after graduating from the master school in Hallstatt in 1962 and worked alongside his father Anton Wellinger in a workshop
